A checklist for delisting sold items everywhere
Confirm the sale, remove the other listings, verify each one is gone, then record it. Do it before packing the item.
Updated October 2026. Crosslisty is a Chrome extension (it also works in Brave and Edge) that copies a listing to the other marketplaces, fills each form for you, and removes sold items from your other listings.
The routine
- Confirm the sale. Open the order, not only the notification.
- List the marketplaces. Check your stock code or Crosslisty’s door strip to see where the item is live.
- Remove from the easy ones first (Poshmark, Mercari, Depop and Vinted).
- Then the manual ones (eBay, Etsy and Facebook).
- Verify. Search each marketplace for the item and confirm it is gone.
- Record it. Mark the item sold in your inventory and note where it sold.
Delete or mark sold?
Marking as sold keeps a record on the marketplace. Deleting removes the listing. If a marketplace offers both, mark sold on the site where it sold, and delete everywhere else.
A weekly audit
- Sort your inventory by oldest listing and spot-check ten items on each marketplace.
- Look for items still live that you remember selling.
- Export your inventory (Crosslisty has a CSV export) and compare it with what you can see on each site.
Skip the routine
Automatic delisting runs steps two to five for Poshmark, Mercari, Depop and Vinted, and opens the page for the rest.
Questions
What order should I delist in?
Start with the sites where removal is quickest, then the ones that need a manual step, then verify them all.
How often should I audit my listings?
Weekly is enough if you delist as items sell. Do it more often if you sell fast.
Is deleting better than ending or marking sold?
Mark sold where it sold, and delete or end everywhere else. That keeps a record where it matters.
