Selling fees by marketplace, compared
Vinted charges sellers nothing, Depop charges payment processing only, Mercari takes 10%, Facebook takes 10% on shipped sales, Poshmark takes 20% over $15, and eBay and Etsy combine a percentage with fixed fees. Fees checked October 2026.

US seller fees, checked October 2026. The “you keep” columns apply each marketplace’s fee to the item price only. They ignore shipping you pay, taxes, payment processing where it is charged separately, and category exceptions, so treat them as a comparison, not a payout quote.

Fine print for each marketplace
- eBay. Rates differ by category, and the fee also applies to shipping and tax you collect. Source: eBay selling fees.

- Mercari. Older listings that were never updated can still carry the previous processing fee, and cashing out by Instant Pay has its own charge. Source: Mercari fees.

- Etsy. Payment processing is charged on top and varies by country. Listings expire and renew for another fee. Source: Etsy fees.

Price per marketplace to cover fees
If you crosslist, the same price earns different amounts on each site. Raise the price on the higher-fee marketplaces, or lower it where fees are low. Crosslisty lets you set a default percentage price adjustment in Settings, and change it for each fill, so you can fit the price to the marketplace you are filling.
What the fees do not tell you
- Reach and buyer type matter as much as fees. A low-fee site with few buyers for your item is not a bargain.
- Shipping rules differ. Some marketplaces set shipping labels, others let you choose.
- Time spent listing is a cost. Crosslisting tools exist to remove it.

Questions
Which marketplace has the lowest seller fees?
Vinted charges sellers no fee. Depop charges payment processing but no selling fee for US sellers. The rest take a percentage.
Does Poshmark take 20%?
For sales over $15, yes. For sales of $15 and under it charges a flat $2.95.
Are Depop fees gone?
For US sellers there is no Depop selling fee, but payment processing still applies. Sellers elsewhere may pay a selling fee.
Is the Facebook Marketplace fee 5% or 10%?
Facebook’s own merchant policy and help center list 10% per transaction on shipped orders, with an $0.80 minimum. Local pickup has no fee. Meta can run promotions, so check the current rate.
Does Vinted charge sellers?
No selling fee for sellers. Buyers pay a Buyer Protection fee.
