How to crosslist from Mercari to Facebook

Crosslisting from Mercari to Facebook means putting the same item up for sale on both marketplaces, so more buyers see it. Done by hand, it means downloading photos and retyping every field. With Crosslisty it takes three clicks, and you still check the listing before it goes live.

Step by step

  1. Import from Mercari. Open your item on Mercari and click Import to Crosslisty at the bottom right. It saves the photos, title, description, price, brand, size and condition in your browser.
  2. Send to Facebook. Press Facebook in the card that appears, or in the Crosslisty popup. The Facebook listing form opens in a new tab.
  3. Check and post. Crosslisty uploads the photos and fills the fields. Its checklist shows anything it could not fill, with a button that jumps to the field. Fix those, then press Facebook's own post button.

What carries over to Facebook

Before you post on Facebook

Facebook Marketplace is tied to your personal Facebook account. It asks for your location and for local pickup or shipping, which depend on how you sell, so set them yourself after the fill. Crosslisty opens the Facebook listing page for you to end it, but it does not detect sales made on Facebook.

Questions

Can I crosslist from Mercari to Facebook automatically?

Yes. Crosslisty imports your Mercari listing and fills the Facebook listing form with photos, title, description, price, brand and size. You check the form and post it yourself.

How many photos can I copy from Mercari to Facebook?

Facebook accepts up to 10 photos per listing. Crosslisty uploads full-size photos from Mercari up to that limit.

Will my Mercari title fit on Facebook?

Facebook titles are limited to 100 characters, so long Mercari titles are trimmed at a word boundary.

Does crosslisting to Facebook remove the Mercari listing when it sells?

It can. While your browser is open, Crosslisty checks your linked listings every 15 minutes. When a sale is confirmed it removes the item from Poshmark, Mercari, Depop and Vinted for you, after asking first unless you turn on automatic removal. eBay, Etsy and Facebook listings open in one click so you can end them. Sales made on Facebook are not detected.

Crosslisty does these steps for you. Free for 5 fills a day, or $9 a month for unlimited crosslisting. Cancel anytime.
