Does Vinted allow crosslisting tools, and can you get banned?
Asked on Reddit: “Use of Third Party Listing Software” in r/VintedResellers
Vinted’s terms prohibit external software tools such as bots and scraping programmes unless Vinted authorises them, and some sellers report warnings or bans. No crosslisting tool can promise zero risk on Vinted, Crosslisty included. You can lower the risk, and you decide whether to take it.
The shortcut: Crosslisty fills the Vinted form in your own signed-in tab and never posts for you, and by default it asks before it removes anything. It does not make Vinted’s rules go away, so read the guide first.
Add to Chrome, freeUpdated October 2026. Crosslisty is a Chrome extension (it also works in Brave and Edge) that copies a listing to the other marketplaces, fills each form for you, and removes sold items from your other listings.
What Vinted’s rules say
Vinted’s user terms list things members must not do. One is using any type of external software tool, including bots, scraping programmes and crawlers, when using the site and services, unless Vinted has authorised it. The list is open ended, and the wording does not mention browser extensions or crosslisting by name, so it is up to you to judge where a tool falls. Another rule bars repeatedly deleting and re-adding the same item.
Vinted’s catalog rules also say standard accounts are for private, non-commercial use. Read the current text yourself on Vinted’s terms page, since the wording changes.
What sellers report
- Some sellers post warnings that say automated activity was detected on their account and that continued use of external software could lead to a permanent block.
- Some say a crosslisting tool triggered a Vinted verification step, after which they received a warning and could not list for a few hours.
- Others say they have used crosslisting tools for a long time without any problem.
- A few say they got warnings without using any tool at all, so Vinted’s detection is not always accurate.
These are reports from sellers, not statements from Vinted, and the mix of experiences is the honest picture: risk exists, and it is not certain.
Where Crosslisty sits
Crosslisty runs in your own browser, in the Vinted tab where you are already signed in. It reads the page you open, fills the listing form, and you press Vinted’s own post button. It does not post, like, follow or message for you.
Sale removal is different. When an item sells elsewhere and you confirm, Crosslisty opens your Vinted listing and removes it. That is an automated action on your account, so treat it as the part with the most risk. By default Crosslisty asks before it removes anything. Delist on Vinted by hand if you prefer, using the Vinted delisting guide.
How to lower your risk
- Keep the default setting where Crosslisty asks before removing a listing.
- Crosslist a few items at a time, not a whole closet in one sitting.
- Never delete and re-add the same item over and over to bump it.
- If Vinted shows a verification prompt, complete it yourself, then continue. Do not keep retrying.
- If you get a warning, stop using tools on that account and contact Vinted support.
- If you resell as a business, check whether Vinted offers a business account in your country, because standard accounts are meant for private sellers.
The honest bottom line
Crosslisting to Vinted is a trade. You save time, and you accept that Vinted’s rules are strict and its enforcement is unpredictable. If your Vinted account matters more than the time saved, list on Vinted by hand and crosslist everywhere else.
Questions
Does Vinted allow third-party listing software?
Vinted’s terms prohibit external software tools such as bots and scraping programmes unless Vinted authorises them. The terms do not name crosslisting tools or extensions, so it is a judgement call, and sellers report mixed results.
Can I get banned for using a crosslisting tool on Vinted?
It is possible. Some sellers report warnings or blocks, and others report no problems. No tool can promise zero risk.
Does Crosslisty post to Vinted for me?
No. It fills the form and you press Vinted’s own post button. Removing a sold item from Vinted is an automated action, and by default Crosslisty asks you first.
What should I do if Vinted warns me about automated activity?
Stop using external tools on that account, and contact Vinted support to explain. Do not keep retrying the action that triggered it.
Which Vinted sites does Crosslisty work with?
Vinted’s European sites, using the one you choose in Settings or the one the item came from. See crosslisting for Vinted in Europe.
